2020-05-14 Former U.S. diplomat Patrick Mendis delivered a speech to the students in Master’s Degree Program of International Affairs

Patrick Mendis, the former U.S. diplomat came to Wenzao University yesterday afternoon, to deliver a speech “The Two Aircraft Carriers of Taiwan and Sri Lanka” The Emerging Hotspots between China and the U.S. in the Indo-Pacific Theater.” Professor Mendis provided vivid information about history of Sri Lanka and its relation with China. He also assessed the current development of the U.S.-Sri Lanka-China relations and compared with the similar triangular relations among Taiwan, U.S. and China.

Through this speech and the discussion with Professor Mendis, the students explored more prospects among the international relations between U.S., China and Taiwan.
